Membership
Dues
Annual dues for LSCRTA (local chapter) are $10. IRTA (state level) annual dues are $50. Members may have $3.50 per month withheld from their pension checks for the state dues, which reduces the annual state dues to $30. IRTA offers lifetime dues for $400.
Membership Benefits
Joining our association provides numerous benefits, including access to information about pension and health legislation, TRS, Dental and Vision plans, computer discounts, Long Term Care, etc.
We bring educational professionals together to share ideas. Be part of a supportive community that values your experience and contributions.
Involvement
Members are encouraged to participate at their comfort level. Active participation could be as active as a leader on the board, or as simple as a communicator to legislators. The local unit works with the IRTA to advocate for retirees. Your support of the local unit with your membership and service makes it a strong, viable retired educators' organization.
